H.R. Doud Division Goes Snowboarding

February 7, 2010
Marine veteran/snowboard instructor, Tom Horb, sponsored 10 cadets on a snowboarding outing at Apple Mountain near Freeland, MI. For many of the cadets, this was the first time they had ever been snowboarding. Tom and another Apple Mountain instructor taught these cadets the basics of snowboarding and then they were released to enjoy the ski resort for the rest of the afternoon. Several of the cadets strengthened their snowboarding skills and ventured off to the larger hills. It was a fun event to watch and was enjoyed by all cadets that participated. A special thank you to Tom Horb for making this fun day possible!
