H.R. Doud Division provided a flag ceremony and presented the National Anthem at Saginaw's Castle Museum's Active Duty Military Personnel Appreciation Day event. There were veteran and active duty soldiers and sailors from all U.S. Military Branches with family members in attendence. This event was in conjunction with the closing of the American Soldier: From the Civil War to the Iraq War exhibit. The flag ceremony was expertly presented by the Color Guard consisting of Cadet A. Altergott of Bay City, Cadet B. Dybilas of Ubly, Cadet J. Franks of Bay City, and Cadet G. Scott of Freeland. The National Anthem was beautifully sung by Cadet D. Bull of Saginaw. The remainder of the unit presented a marching exhibition and rendered honors. It was a very moving ceremony and they were thanked by all guests in attendance.
